(1) Promise without forgetting.

 Proverbs 13:12, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.”

 (2) Forgive without punishing.

 Colossians 3:13, “bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.”

 (3) Trust without wavering.

 1 Corinthians 13:7, “Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”

 (4) Listen without interrupting.

Proverbs 18:2, “A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.”
